This is the island-only flight. From Kahului the plane heads up the north coast to Nakalele Blowhole and Honolua Bay, runs down the West Maui resort coast past Ka'anapali and Lahaina, crosses to Molokini and Makena, then climbs across Haleakala National Park and drops onto the Hana side: Red Sand Beach, the Road to Hana and Baldwin Beach on the way home.

It costs $84 less per person than the 5 Island flight for the same 90 minutes. You trade Lanai for Haleakala and the rainforest of East Maui. That's a fair swap if you won't drive the Road to Hana yourself.

One catch: the listing says 2 to 5 travelers, but its additional info caps a booking at 3 people. A family of four or five should message the operator before paying, or book the Haleakala flight, which allows five per booking.
